Aniimo Damage and Level Scaling

The level gap decides how much damage lands, in both directions. A same-element attack adds more on top.

Why an over-level enemy shreds you

The game holds a table for every level difference from −100 to +100. Below the target you deal less and take more; above it, the reverse. BREAK damage is hit hardest of all.

What actually breaks a shield

ShieldBluntColdElectricFireSharpWater
Armor00.90.90.90.750.9
Cold0.910.7500.90.75
Electric0.90.750.750.50.90
Fire0.90.750.7510.90
Water0.900.750.750.91

1 is full damage to that shield, 0 is none at all. An Armor shield ignores Blunt entirely; a Cold shield is undone by Fire.

The rules that apply to every hit

  • Attacking with the target’s own element adds +10% damage.
  • You are immune for 1.5s after taking a hit.
  • Basic attacks generate no EP in PvP, so the opening is fought on what you bring.

Frequently asked questions about Aniimo damage and level scaling

Does level difference matter in Aniimo?

Yes, and heavily. At 20 levels below the target you deal -60% damage and take +30%; at 20 above it is +40% and -20%. BREAK damage scales separately and is cut hardest when you are under-levelled.

Does attacking with the same element help?

Yes, +10% extra damage for a same-element attack, on top of the elemental counter chart.

What breaks a shield fastest?

It depends on the shield: Armor takes nothing from Blunt, a Cold shield is fully broken by Fire, and each shield kind has its own resistance row.
