How do I unlock an Aniimo trait?

Each trait names its own action, such as photographing the creature doing something specific or using a particular skill on it. The game shows a clue first; the table above gives the action for all 192 traits.

What does unlocking a trait give?

50 research points, which count toward that creature’s Aniilog rank and therefore toward accessory slots.

Are traits inherited when breeding?

Yes. Breeding lets you pick a trait for the offspring to inherit, which is why unlocking them is worth doing before you breed.
